Henk de Lange, Philatelist I have been a full time professional stamp dealer since 1980 when I joined Sotheby’s Auctioneers in Johannesburg, South Africa and was employed there until the end of 1998. During this period I catalogued and later also auctioned many award winning and well known specialised collections plus numerous single items and general world collections. In June 2003 I set up my own business as a dealer in stamps and postal history of the British Empire/Commonwealth and now operate from home out of picturesque Hout Bay, a popular fishing village about 15 km from central Cape Town in the Western Cape, South Africa. I have been a member of the South African Dealers Associations (SAPDA) since 1982 and within the associations served in various executive office bearer capacities including secretary, treasurer and president. In 2002 I joined the American Philatelic Society (APS). I am well known and respected for my love and knowledge of the Rhodesian Double Heads and Admirals stamps and over the years built up an extensive and award winning collection of the popular Double Heads issue culminating in a Large Gold award at the 1992 South African Annual National Stamp Exhibition.
