: 5/- showing "Flying eagle" variety  with the yellow colour of the eagle almost entirely printed above the shield leaving the eagle in the shield white,SG86 var unmounted mint, superb. Small tear in margin not affecting stamp.

One of only two recorded copies with such large colour misplacement. This being the only mint copy as the other recorded copy reportedly is used. Much rarer then the value omitted on this stamp of which 60 copies are known to exist.

1933 (May 1) Illustrated 'India Super Tyres' advertising cover to South Africa bearing KGV 2d tied very scarce "NDOLA 1 MAY 33" machine cancel with wording the "N. Rhodesia" between the lines, the usage of which is only recorded for the 1932-34 period, this being a very fine example. An attractive and clean cover.

franked KGV 2d tied very scarce "NDOLA 18 AUG 34" machine cancel with wording "N. Rhodesia" between the lines. The usage of this cancel is only recorded for the 1932-34 period and this cover bearing a very fine example of this scarce postmark.
